A 200-325 mesh screen is recommended. Silkscreen inks are concentrated and should be diluted with a mineral spirit solvent in the range of 30% solvent to 70% ink by volume. Thinners can be supplied with the ink or purchased from a local supplier. After dilution, the ink should air dry in 3-5 minutes. The ink cures at 300f-400f in two to six minutes creating the permanent marking you are trying to achieve. Don’t worry about your part being able to take the heat either because most silicone parts can take 500 – 550f continuously. If your part melts then its not silicone and you are using the wrong ink!
